Canada Super Visa Immigration

The Canada Super Visa is a specific type of long-term, multiple-entry visa designed exclusively for the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

While a standard Visitor Visa only allows stays of up to 6 months, the Super Visa allows eligible family members to stay in Canada for up to 5 years at a time without needing to renew their status. The visa itself is typically valid for up to 10 years.

1. 2025 Income Requirements (LICO)

The child or grandchild in Canada (the “host”) must meet the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) to prove they can financially support the visitors. As of 2025, the minimum gross income requirements have increased:

Family Size*2025 Minimum Gross Income
2 people$38,002
3 people$46,720
4 people$56,724
5 people$64,336
6 people$72,560

Each additional person+ $8,224

Note: Family size includes the host, their spouse and dependents, plus the parents or grandparents being sponsored.
